For a budget friendly option or for anyone with sensitive skin, I always reach for The INKEY List Oat Cleansing Balm. Next, i'll opt for a foaming/cream cleanser. For moisturiser, I have a few favourites in my routine that I like to rotate depending on the day and how my skin is feeling. A favourite for me and for skin prep for my clients before makeup application is Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré Multi-Purpose Moisturiser. For oily skin I have heard amazing things about the Caudalie Vinosource Matifying Fluid. For SPF my all time favourite formula has to be La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Fluid SPF50+ Sun Cream, I've tried various different formulas but this one works for my skin perfectly. For sensitive skin, I would recommend COSRX Aloe Soothing SPF50 PA+++ Sun Cream, Cosrx are such an exciting, innovative brand using the best ingredients, I trust every product they sell. It's so important to top up your SPF throughout the day. But when wearing makeup this is tricky, I use this Garnier Ambre Solaire Over Makeup Super UV Protection Mist SPF50 to top up on the go.

With countless formulas, shades, and colours to choose from, it's no wonder it can feel like a total minefield at times. That's why I believe in simplifying the process and curating a core collection of cult-favourite products that every makeup bag should have. In my opinion, these essential five products are the building blocks of any makeup routine: foundation, concealer, blusher/bronzer, mascara, and lipstick. With these key items in your makeup bag, you have a solid foundation for creating endless looks. Of course, additional products can be added for extra fun and experimentation. Here are my top picks.
When it comes to a foundation for any occasion or everyday I can always count on the NARS Cosmetics Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation. I use it on almost all my brides as it's long lasting, blends beautifully into the skin, and has flexible coverage. I would say it has a strong medium coverage but can be built up to something fuller without having a cake like finish. For something more sheer, natural and perhaps more comfortable for everyday I love using a tinted moisturiser. Something too tint the skin to even out the complexion and add a tiny amount of coverage. I would recommend the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser Skin Perfector or if you like a more luminous finish try the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser Light Revealer. For concealer, for any skin type I would opt for full coverage. At the end of the day, we use concealer to conceal, meaning cover up. A sheer formula will not do that. For normal to dry skin I would try the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, for normal to oily skin I would try the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer.
Moving onto some colour for the complexion such as bronzer and blusher. Bronzer is a great product to give your skin that perfect sun-kissed look and create a natural contour for the cheeks. You can either use powder, cream or both to do this. For a cream based bronzer I love the NUDESTIX Nudies All Over Face Colour in the shade "Bondi Bae". For powder, you just can't beat the O.G Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer (theres a reason why it's the most trending bronzer right now). I will never skip blusher in my makeup routine, I love how it brings a pretty flush to my cheeks giving my complexion the healthiest glow. Again, you can use cream, powder or both for this. I bounce between the ICONIC London Sheer Blush in the shade Cheeky Coral and MAC Sheertone Blush shade Peaches.

Having dark fluttery lashes is the easiest way to enhance your eyes and make them stand out. My all time favourite mascara that I have used for probably the last 10 years (because it's that good) is the Maybelline Lash sensation mascara. Moving onto lipstick, this is obviously very personal as some may like something natural, some like a bold lip moment. So instead of focusing on colour, I am going to recommend formula. For my matte lip lovers I always reach for my Mac Matte Lipsticks, my favourite is the shade "kinda sexy" it is the perfect peachy nude. For a hydrating, sheer lipstick try the By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Balm, I love the shade Nudissimo.
